Paradise: Sphere 4: The Sun

Zora Neale Hurston: is an African American writer who wrote about Discrimination against both women and the black race. She provided a voice for African American women during the Harlem Renaissance. Her efforts for equality was a tremendous help to all those fighting fore the same thing. Ms.Hurston belongs in the sphere of The Sun. Her publications have taught many people new things but in a black/female perception, as a teacher she belongs in Paradise. Dante placed those who loved wisdom or were theologist in The Sun and Ms. Hurston was just that.

Countee Cullen: was an African American novelist, poet, and teacher. He wrote "The Black Christ", and other poems. Mr. Cullen taught at Frederick Douglass Junior High School and wrote until the end of his life. Countee Cullen is being placed in the sphere of the Sun. Dante placed thosed who loved wisdom or theology in the sphere of the Sun.

W.E.B. DuBois: was a black educator and one of the founders of the NAACP Dr. DuBois is placed in the circle of the Sun. This circle is the place where souls who loved wisdom or were great theologians. W.E.B. DuBois is considered one of the great theologist of his time. I think that he was a great teacher to the African-American community and he spread a lot of his wisdom among his peers.
